Review: Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation!

This foundation is a drugstore product. I purchased it at my local Walmart for around $10. (prices vary depending where you live, and where you buy it.
I have oily/combination skin, and this lasts all day when set with powder. This foundation claims to act like a primer, foundation, and concealer. It also as SPF 20.   It has a matte finish.  There are many shades to choose from, this foundation also seems to oxidize throughout the day. It is lightweight but covers what I need to cover. I'm in the lightest shade ivory. I give this foundation 4 out of 5 stars.

4. 60's inspired makeup.

Freckles!

If you are fair skinned, and have freckles you don't peeking throu your foundation this is a good tip for you. Before applying any makeup apply an illuminating primer to your face. It will reflect light on them and diminish their appearance. I don't mind freckles showing through my makeup, but sometimes I like a flawless finish.

Multi- Purpose Makeup!

Makeup can be used for more than what the product was made for.if you use your makeup for other uses than what is advertised you can get your money's worth.

Lipsticks actual purpose is to apply color to your lips. Lipstick can also be used as a cream blush especially if you don't have a blush in your makeup bag and need a quick touch up.

Eyeshadow can be used as an eyeliner for a softer, more natural look. You can also use a light color and use it as a cheekbone highlight. You can also use it to fill in your eyebrows. Another idea is to use a dark matte eyeshadow as a contour.

Blush can be used as an eyeshadow, or even apply to the top of your lips after applying lipstick for staying power.

You can use your bronzer as an eyeshadow. If you place it in your crease it will give you a natural sunken in crease.

Finding Out Your Skin's Undertone!

To find a perfect match for your foundation or what colors look best on you finding your skin's undertones are important.

If you are cool toned, red or pink is dominating your features, not much yellow. Veins will appear blue. Another way to determine your undertones is doing a jewelry test. If silver looks best, you are cool toned.

If you are warm toned, yellow dominates your features, not much red or pink. Veins will appear green. When you do the jewelry test , gold will look best.

Tips for Fuller Lips!

Do you want fuller lips? Have you ever worn your favorite black dress because it makes you look slimmer? Well the same thing applies to makeup, like wearing dark clothes, wearing dark lipstick can make your lips look smaller. Wearing light lip colors can make your lips look fuller. Choose a pale pink that is a satin finish. Try to stay away from the frosts to prevent looking ill. Lining your cupids bow and below the lower lip will give your lips a 3D effect. Lip gloss reflects light making lips shiny and full. Final step is concealing around your mouth to make your lips pop!

Beauty Icons!

Women throughout the years have made their own signature look, some more famous than others. Here are some of my favorite beauty icons:

Twiggy- Twiggy was a model in the 1960's. Her signature look was drawn on lower lashes, big thick lashes, and big doe eyes with a defined crease.

Marilyn Monroe- Marilyn Monroe changed the face of femininity. She showed women that size doesn't matter. Her makeup was simple but eye grabbing. Her red lips stood out from her pale face, she balanced out the red lips with a high arched brow.

Kim Kardashian- Kim Kardashian is a celebrity who is looked up to by others who enjoy fashion and beauty. She uses contouring and highlighting techniques that can make a difference in your look. She is almost always wearing a smokey eye with big lashes and thick liner topped off with a nude lip. Here is a link to what some of her contouring and highlighting looks like:

Kim K's contouring and highlighting.

Gwen Stefani- Gwen Stefani is a pop star and lead vocalist for No Doubt. She owns her own clothing line called L.A.M.B. She says she has done the same makeup look since ninth grade. She wears winged liner, minimal eyeshadow, a strong brow, and red lips.

Fast Five Minute Face!

Being a high school student I have to wake up early and sometimes I don't have time to do a full face of makeup. Using minimal makeup to get a full faced look is easy.

1. Foundation is always important. It conceals and creates a layer for flawless application of other products.  A quick way to apply foundation is dotting on your cheeks, nose, forehead, and neck then blending outwards with a wet sponge or brush of your choice.

2. Light shimmery eyeshadow makes your eyes appear brighter and awake. Applying it in your tear ducts can make a huge difference.

3. Eyeliner or a dark shadow on your upper lash line wiill define your eyes and doesn't take long.

4. Mascara paired with eyeliner can define your eyes even more it also defines your lashes which can make a difference. If you don't have time for 2 or 3 just applying mascara will make a huge difference.

5. If you have a few more minutes blush or bronzer will sculpt your face and give you a put together chizzled look.
